Over these past few weeks, i was out of town together with my friends and and we were on a vacation. We decided to go to the province and go hiking. These is our temporary break out of heavy work in City. It is also the chance for us to breathe some fresh air and new places.
When we arrive in our destination, we rest and eat some new dishes and it was great. The next day we decided to go up in a mountain and hiking. It was a very hot day and tiring. We were sweating and getting tired. It was my first time to do something like that but it was also great and it was fun and also its very good to breathe the fresh air. We stayed in there and we decided to camp in a good location and decided to stay there until tomorrow morning.
The next day, we decided to go back to our place and rest for sometime and take a bath. I noticed that time that my hair is very dull. It was very oily and dirty. It was like I haven't taken a bath for weeks. I asked my friends what would be the solution to this problem. They said that i need to use a shampoo for oily hair. The oily stuff is due to the extreme heat when we were climbing the mountain and thus my air produces so much oil to make my hair protected from the sun. So what i did was to get a shampoo for oily hair in the market and use it when i took a bath.
The feeling is good and I feel very clean. Thanks to the shampoo for oily hair, it makes my hair more healthier and makes my vacation a perfect one.

My Opinion with Hibiscus Tea

There have been so many tea that i have already tasted. Each of them has their own unique taste and identity. Today i will discuss to you my honest opinion and review about this new tea, the Hibiscus tea.

Yesterday was my very fist time to taste and take a sip of this hibiscus tea. I got it from a friend of mine who came from Jamaica last week. Well, from my first sip, i got to say that the taste of the hibiscus tea is quite different from the other tea that i have tasted. The taste is spicy, tangy and good. One more thing that i like about hibiscus tea is the texture and the color of the tea. If you get a cup of it you will see that the color of it is red. It is color red because of the color it got from where it was made, from the hibiscus flower, which is also color red.

You see, unlike other tea which is made from common leaf or tree, the Hibiscus came from its flower. The flower is kinda looked like a gumamela flower from Asia.

So, my overall opinion with hibiscus tea is very good. I recommend you to also get one and try it because it is so good. It is also has different health benefits. If you want to know more about that just visit this site,

Peekaboo!

There are multiple stages of playing peekaboo with a baby. At first you do the hiding and the baby's job is to giggle. Other names for peekaboo include keek-bo, peep-bo, bo-peep.[1] We never managed to get any good videos of Lillian when we were playing this stage of peekaboo with her—she always stopped to stare at (or even try to grab) the camera. The next stage involves the baby doing the hiding. And this time we've got some videos to showcase.

Boing! Boing!

We generally try to keep Lillian out of the bathroom. There are lots of hazards in there. There are chemicals and medicines in the cabinet under the sink that could poison her or that she could choke on. The toilet, despite being cleaned regularly, is still an infection risk—as is the brush we clean it with. If she gets into the bathtub she could slip and injure herself on the faucet or just hit her head on the bottom. To be sure, there are safe things for her to do in the bathroom—as long as she's supervised. We give her her baths in there, now. She can visit Rillian, the Reptilian Lillian.[1] And a few weeks ago she discovered…

Birthday Party!

It's kind of hard to believe, but one year ago yesterday Lillian came into the world. We didn't expect her so soon (she was two months early [1]), but we're so glad to have her. On Saturday she had a birthday party with the Crook side of the family (her party with the Martin side is coming up later). Most of her aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with her grandparents came down from the north end of Utah for the party. (Not shown: her Aunt Melissa and her cousin Katie were sitting behind me when I shot this picture.)

Leann made a special birthday cake just for Lilli. It was a white cake decorated with flowers made out of strawberry frosting and whipped ganache. And the guests got cupcakes made roughly the same way.[1] There was also a vegetable tray, watermelon, and pink lemonade.

This dress was supposed to be one of Lilli's presents, but Leann liked it so much that she put it on Lilli early. So it was a party dress. It came off before we gave Lilli any cake.

It's a good thing, too, because she made a mess! Here's Lilli 'eating' her cake. I put it in quotes because very little of it ended up in her mouth compared to everywhere else it ended up. (Be warned that the movies are kind of long.)

She was so dirty she had to take a bath before opening presents. Don't worry—that's just chocolate in the water.

For her birthday she got a doll, some Dr. Seuss books, a See 'n Say, bubbles, a book about Jesus that she can read at church, wooden blocks, a purse, two crisp $2 bills (from her recently-departed Great Grandma Mary), and a bouncy ball. She also got a helium balloon (despite the national helium shortage [2]), but I didn't get any photos of it.

She had a lot of fun chasing and getting chased by her uncle Nathan and her cousin Josie.

And let's not forget Lilli's lilies!

Independence Day

To contact us Click HERE
For the last year we've been avoiding family functions in order to avoid Lilli getting sick. Given her low birth weight [1] and the fact that she hasn't been gaining weight very well (due, in large part, to the fact that she's very active), we didn't want her losing weight because she was sick. But our main concern was RSV. Since RSV season is over, we decided to go to my extended family's Independence Day festivities. They were all thrilled to meet her. And, since she's quite the people person (she'll crawl into the laps of strangers at church), she was thrilled to meet them, too.

On the Third I went to balloonfest. It started at six in the morning so Leann and Lilli decided to sleep instead of coming along. It took nearly an hour for the first balloons to fill up enough that they could lift off. But then they all went up pretty quickly.

Later that day Leann called me while I was at work to inform me that a fire had broken out in Alpine and that the smoke plume could be seen rising up behind Mount Timpanogos.

On the morning of the Fourth we went to the Provo City parade. Lilli did pretty well. The only thing that really bothered her was the military jeep with a mounted gun that was making loud gunfire noises. But by that time she was pretty tired anyway. They didn't throw any candy and I notice that this was replaced by the kids throwing snappers at the floats. Nice trade off, Provo City.[2] The parade is much safer and more enjoyable, now.

Later we went to the booths on Center Street ("Freedom Festival") to get some lunch. On the way we stopped at a reptile show (top) where Lilli got to see her first real snake (a Boa constrictor, no less). We also saw some crazy games, including one where they zip you up inside a ball and let you run around in it while it floats on water (bottom). For lunch Leann had a deep-fried corn dog and I wanted some street tacos. Unfortunately, the first place I tried had a very slow-moving line. When I finally got to the front I discovered why. They had run out of meat, so the only thing they were still selling was cheese-filled pupusas.[3] But they were still selling them at full price despite there not being any meat in them. Furthermore, they would wait several minutes before telling the next person in line that they were out of meat. I ended up going to another taco stand and ordering some nachos (since they were a better deal than the tacos). By that time Leann and Lilli had given up waiting for me to get some food and went home.

After that we headed up to Layton to spend the holiday with my family. On the way up we got a closer look at the Alpine Fire.

video
At my Grandma's house we put Lilli in a swim diaper and let her play in the kiddy pool. She was quite thrilled. Even though she started getting cold she didn't want to stop playing in the water (or stop trying to eat the bits of grass floating around). For dinner we ate hot dogs and hamburgers off the grill, as well as choosing from green salads, fruit salads, and macaroni salads and a variety of chips. To drink we had lemonade or Independence Punch.[4] Surprisingly, Lilli ate almost everything I offered her. The only thing she had a little trouble with was the cantaloupe.

video
After dinner we had a 'kid's parade' with a circus theme. You'll see clowns, a lion in a cage, a fat lady, a bearded lady, and a strongman, among other things. Lilli had trouble going to sleep (things were just too exciting) so we went home early and she cried most of the way. Being strapped in to a car seat for an hour and a half is just no fun for a baby who is always on the go. We saw the Alpine Fire, again, only this time, since it was dark, it looked like lava streaming down the side of the mountain. We couldn't find the camera, so no photos this time. Once we got Lillian home she went right to bed and Leann and I watched the last few minutes of the Stadium of Fire fireworks through the dining room window and ate ice cream.
